Why Your Parents Were Wrong

Remember when your parents told you,

“Just wait till you have your own kids?” Or, “Never leave one job till you've got another?” Or maybe you were told you have to be a doctor or lawyer or some other specific profession to be “worthwhile.”

Guess what?

None of that sh*t’s true.

💎 The only truths are the ones that resonate with you. 💎

Here are the 3 biggest mistakes keeping you from your authentic self:

Mistake #1  Being with people who don’t fill you up.

Nothing will take you down the rabbit hole faster than hanging with naysayers. Surround yourself with people who brag about your accomplishments and beam with your light. Who lift you whenever needed and celebrate you always. Ditch or keep to a minimum anyone who downplays or rejects any part of you.

Mistake #2  Covering up your truths.

Are you so busy you no longer know who or what you are? Are you disappearing in social media, Netflix, or whatever your escape mechanism is so you don’t have to deal with where you’re at? Get out of your funk and journal and get to your truth. What do you really want? What brings you joy? What lights you up inside?

️ Mistake #3  FEAR.

Walking through fear empowers you. Once you realize you're afraid, you’ve named it. Then you get to feel the fear. Next, move beyond it. Then you’re set free, woot woot and you'll be able to help someone else get through that in the future (think of things you've gotten thru in your past that you never thought you'd get through). Yep, you do get to do what you love!

Listen to the episode that talks about tapping into your intuition. Do you ever get that ‘knowing’ feeling? Your intuition is the built-in guidance system that helps you make better decisions in life. In the episode, there are also practices and tools to help you stay grounded and connected to your internal compass.
